Tidligere Twisted Sister frontmann, vokalist og låtskriver Dee Snider har gått ut via sin offisielle Twitterkonto og bekreftet at han mer enn gjerne godkjenner at ukrainere bruker bandets låt «We’re Not Gonna Take It» som kamprop mens de kjemper tilbake mot den russiske invasjonen:

I absolutely approve of Ukrainians using "We're Not Gonna Take It" as their battlecry. My grandfather was Ukrainian, before it was swallowed up by the USSR after WW2. This can't happen to these people again! #FUCKRUSSIA

Låta som er en av Twisted Sister`s absolutte største hits ble utgitt som singel i 1984 og finnes også på bandets mestselgende studioalbum «Stay Hungry» utgitt samme år.
